FIFA World Cup football awards

   Undoubtedly, the World Cup football is the greatest show on the earth. Millions of people all over the world watch these football matches with lots of fun, excitement and enthusiasm. Nothing can compare with this fibulas football tournament. In every four years it comes to the track, and the whole world is waiting for it’s begun.

At the end of each FIFA World Cup final tournament (for the men's senior tournament), several awards are given to the players and the teams which have discriminated from the rest of the players and the teams, in different aspects of the game.

   There are currently five post-tournament awards and one award given during the World Cup football is running: 

FIFA Golden Ball

1. The "Golden Ball Award" is given to the best player of the World Cup football tournament. This was first awarded in 1982, and champion Italian footballer “Paolo Rossi” got that award for the first time. Currently, this award is commercially named as "Adidas Golden Ball Award".

2. The "Golden Boot Award" is given for the top scorer of a certain World Cup football tournament. Currently, this award is commercially named as "Adidas Golden Boot Award". But, previously it was known as the "Adidas Golden Shoe" from 1982 to 2006 World Cup. This award was first introduced along with the “Golden Ball Award” in 1982 World Cup, and Italian Paolo Rossi got that for the first time.

3. The "Golden Glove Award" is given for the best-goalkeeper of the FIFA World Cup football tournament. Currently, this award is commercially named as "Adidas Golden Glove Award". Previously, it was known as the "Lev Yashin Award" from 1994 to 2006 World Cup. In 1994, this award was introduced and Belgian goalkeeper Michel Preud’homme got that award.

FIFA Best Young Player Award

4. The "Best Young Player Award" is given for the best player under 21 years of age at the start of the calendar year, first awarded in 2006. Currently, this award is commercially termed as "Hyundai Best Young Player Award". German footballer Lukas Podolski was the first man to achieve this award in 2006 World Cup football.

FIFA Fair Play Trophy

5. The "FIFA Fair Play Trophy Award" is given for the team that advanced to the second round with the best record of fair play. This award was first awarded in 1970 and Peru was the first country to achieve this FIFA Fair Play Trophy in Mexico World Cup in 1970.

The Man of the Match Award

6. The "Man of the Match Award" is given for outstanding performance during each game of the tournament. Currently, this award is commercially termed as "Budweiser Man of the Match". This award was first introduced in 2002 World Cup.

   There are one more awards were declared after the finish a respective World Cup tournament. Actually it not an award, it is a declaration of a football team which is chosen from the all footballers those played a respective World Cup.

•  The “All-Star Team” is a team of the best performers at the respective World Cup football finals. The ways in which the FIFA All-Star team members have been chosen by a technical study group consisting of journalists and experts has historically chosen the team. However, in 1994 FIFA decided to add an official squad, chosen by the FIFA technical group and under the brand name “MasterCard All-Star Team”. The All-Star team cut up dropped before to the 2010 World Cup tournament - coincidentally, three years after FIFA changed its sponsorship from MasterCard to VISA.
